Library Policy for People with Disabilities
The Crowell Library at the Moody Bible Institute shall ensure that individuals with disabilities have equal access to library resources.
Accommodations for users with disabilities will be based on the individual’s needs. For the services listed below, students must have identified themselves to the Student Resource Center in the Student Development Office as needing accommodations due to a permanent or temporary disability. Once the student has registered with the Student Resource Center and this office contacts the Crowell Library, a staff member from the library will work with the student to determine which services fit best.
Appointments for the services listed in this guide are encouraged, but not necessary. Every effort will be made to accommodate these requests.
Research Assistance
Users are encouraged to come to the Crowell Library for assistance in developing research strategy, locating relevant books and journals, and evaluating research materials. Librarians are available by appointment as well as at the Information Desk during weekday business hours. Appointments should be scheduled in advance.
For more information and to schedule your appointment, please contact the Information Desk (x4175). Library hours can be accessed online or by calling x4136. Patrons can also email questions to an MBI librarian for research assistance. Emails can be sent directly to library staff members or you can fill out the online Ask a Librarian form to submit a question (http://library.moody.edu).
